Articles block
<aside>
Articles are part of the ‘dynamic’ blocks, which means that they dynamically display content created elsewhere. You will not have to copy them multiple times on your site, just call them up when you see fit!
</aside>
A block for displaying—usually in columns—articles written and published in WordPress from the content module of the same name. You can choose the number of articles displayed. They appear in the form of three-column rows.
The Articles block consists of the following:
- a Title field
- an Introduction field - a text editor with basic typographical enhancement features (bulleted lists, bold, italics, etc.)
- a Posts or Articles selector that allows you to control the display of articles automatically or manually
- automatic: the block will only display articles from the categories or tags you have selected
- manual: you select the articles you want to display one by one from the list of existing articles
- you can refine the selection by choosing testimonials with tags A, and/or B, and/or C, etc.
- Articles can be displayed in alphabetical order or by date, ascending or descending. You can choose the number of articles displayed. They appear in the form of three-column rows.
Create an Article

The first thing to do is to create Articles, so that you can then call them up in Minos Blocks called ‘Articles’.
Go to the menu on the left-hand side of your dashboard, under Articles > Add an Article.
- Start by giving it a title by clicking on this call-to-action phrase: ‘Enter title’. This title will be the event title and will be visible in the slug (= URL).
- Click on the + to add the desired blocks (in the example, we used the Columns block).
- Click on the small pencil icon at the top right of the block to enter and edit it.
- Arrange the blocks, their text and images as you wish.
- Enter the practical information about the event.
- Assign one or more categories to your article (e.g. News).
- Add an excerpt (‘Edit excerpt’ in English).
- Add a featured image.
- Publish!
Once this article has been created and assigned to a category, we can call it up using the complex ‘Articles’ block within another page.
This ‘Articles’ block will call up the articles created previously and display them according to the configuration settings in Minotaure that you have decided on beforehand (see next section).
Settings in Minotaure :minotaure:
The way Articles are displayed visually depends on the configuration settings in the Minotaure space (at the bottom left of your dashboard). There you will find all the display settings for complex blocks: with a block view, Page view and Index view.
