Creating an FAQ

To create a new FAQ (content), go to the left-hand menu of your website's Dashboard, click on ‘FAQ’ and then ‘Add an article’.

Your composition will take place in this order:

1. Start by giving it a title by clicking in this call-to-action field: ‘Enter the title’. Please note that this ‘title’ is actually the question! It will also be included in the slug (= URL).
2. Complete the Description: this is the answer to the question.

1. You can add an excerpt in the dedicated field (optional)
2. On the right-hand side of the page, assign one or more Types to this FAQ

Associating a Type with your question will enable it to be filtered when the FAQ block is called up on a page.

Settings in Minotaure :minotaure:

To configure the visual appearance of your FAQs, go to the left-hand menu of your website's Dashboard, in the ‘:minotaure: Minotaure’ tool. There you can choose the display options for your CPTs (colours, fonts, etc.).

→ Click on :minos_advanced: advanced blocks, then select :minos_faqs: FAQs. You will find a preview of your layout on the right-hand side of the screen, with the settings on the left (+ a cross to close each layout).

You can style your FAQs both as a block and as an index:

Un “bloc”, c’est-à-dire un bloc de contenu que l’on peut mettre à n’importe quel endroit d’une page pour afficher vos FAQs.

A “block”, i.e. a block of content that can be placed anywhere on a page to display your FAQs.

A “listing” (or Index), i.e. a list of all FAQs (questions/answers), with a set of filters at the top of the page (date, subject, etc.) that allows you to modify the search display.

• Container type selector - depending on the choice, definition of the border thickness and rounding of the internal container

Header

• Choice of title alignment

Content

• Choice of font style for the title, paragraph, and heading levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6

• Choice of colour for the separation between questions
• Choice of background colour and border colour for the internal container
• Choice of border and background colour for the container
• Choice of background colour for the block

Buttons

• Primary → choice of primary button style from the list of those created beforehand
• Secondary → choice of secondary button style from the list of those created beforehand
• Tertiary → choose the style of the tertiary button from the list of those created previously
• Basic link → choose the style of the simple link from the list of those created previously
• Choose the button style for ‘See all FAQs’ (= archive button, which will lead to the page listing all published FAQs)

Bonne nouvelle : vous pouvez ajouter autant de nouvelles compositions que vous le souhaitez.

Pour cela, deux méthodes : dupliquez une composition existante et faire quelques modifications mineures (pratique pour créer rapidement des variantes sur quelques détails) ou créez une nouvelle composition pour un nouveau style de bloc et pour avoir un bloc FAQs complètement différent à réutiliser à l’envi.

• Nommez votre nouvelle composition, et reprenez un à un les éléments ci-dessus !
• À tout moment, vous pouvez réinitialiser chaque groupe d’éléments : le groupe reprend le réglage de celui du bloc par défaut (si vous avez sauvé entretemps). </aside>
